Is a laminate subfloor suitable for a LVT/SPC floor?
Typically, laminate flooring is not suitable as a substrate for LVT/SPC flooring. A laminate floor is floating, which is not the best construction to glue a LVT floor over it. The laminate floor can then no longer breathe, so there is a chance of uplift and pull-through. SPC click flooring can basically be laid over laminate flooring, provided the subfloor under laminate is of sufficient pressure stability.
